New topic intro – Solids and Liquids. In groups children given 3 pictures. Chatted about each picture in turn, decidedif there were any odd ones out and why.
Again 3 no's for Thinking Skills lesson – were any n's odd ones out and why, using key vocab – e.g. one/two digit, even, odd, multiple of 2, 5, 10 etc.
KWL Chart – what do they know about the poor in Tudor Times?
Evaluation / Gwerthusiad
All three activities worked really well! Children were able to think for themselves and suggest their own ideas far more independently rather than "teacher-fed".
Also enabled children to use vocabulary correctly and far more children became confident in using these terms and remember what they mean.
