Think about how you would complete the following grid, and discuss it with your mentor. I have filled out the first set of boxes from our case study:

Encourage pupils to produce a controlled 'model' of the relations between religion and society

Use with GCSE and A level pupils on any area, to stimulate discussion of significance of models

Examples might include:

  • effects of demographics on religious observance
  • effects of theological tenet on practice or...
  • relations between theosophy and ethics

Provide curriculum-specific worksheets, making specific changes to focus discussion and development of more complex models
