Data-logger eg. Robolab (Lego), Data meter 1000, LogIT, or Sense and Control, sensors.

The hardware interface between the computer and the temperature sensors. These need to be connected together according to the instructions in the data-logging kit.

Associated software needs to be loaded and test-run, checking for a variety of problems including loose leads and connections.

Check the software is suitable for plotting and displaying a graph which uses sensible axes and scale.
