The group decided to produce a series of ICT resources to support existing KS3 resources used for teaching Wales . Most schools use The Key Geography series with worksheets and atlases. The ICT resources will complement and improve existing teaching strategies and fit into current schemes of work.

ACTIVstudio – Wales KS3

This is a series of ACTIVstudio flip chart pages where pupils can drag labels to the correct places on maps of Wales . Completed activities are provided to show answers.

The resource was created by copying an existing map of Wales from the image library into PaintShop Pro. This allowed features and a key to added. This was then copied back the image library in ACTIVstudio. A blank page was created in ACTIVstudio; the image was copied from the image library; the teaching activity was then built up around the resource.

A Wales game (A Question of Wales ) was created using the wizard. This has several images and question related to Wales . This needs to be copied into the activity folder in the Activstudio folder.
