he third and, almost certainly, the best loved of all Henry's wives. Her married life lasted a little more than a year but in that time she achieved two important tasks: she helped Henry make friends again with his first daughter Mary; and provided Henry with a son, Edward, born on 12th October 1537. She died in childbirth.
