Technology in a musical context.
The Notate pages show how pupils can compose simple pieces with little or no prior musical knowledge assumed. The exercises could be carried out on virtually any music software which allows notes to be placed on a stave. The examples using the Sibelius family of software extend the composing activity with exercises in arranging music for a variety of ensembles.
