Which Way to Grandma’s House?

Help Red Riding Hood find her way through the woods

On the way collect as many pieces of fruit and flowers. Put them in the basket to give to Grandma.

Place the sheet with a marked grid on the floor, position the fruit and flowers in the squares. Give the child directions to follow to reach Grandma’s House (made from a cardboard box).

Directions to be given: Forward, Left or Right.

You will need:

  • Large sheet with grid as illustrated above
  • Plastic or real fruit
  • Red Riding Hood’s cape
  • Basket
  • Grandma’s House

This activity can be used with small objects as a table top activity.

Pixie or Roamer can be introduced to extend this activity.
