Aims and Objectives
The
teacher's aim for the sake of this case study is to develop learners'
ability to understand patterns of cause and effect in Geography.
In this case the learners are Key Stage 4 pupils.
Specifically,
the teacher wants the pupils at this phase of their development
to:
- Investigate
how birth rate and death rates affect total population.
- Understand
how changes in the birth rate and death rate affect the rate
of population change.
- Understand
he causal effect of contraception on birth rate and population
change.
Specifically,
this case study will be a useful introduction to the Demographic
Transition Model.
