Deciding Whether to Use ICT
There
seems to be a range of options for dealing with this topic. The
teacher could:
- Use
a word processor package to create worksheets on the area of
work, and simply provide the worksheets to pupils and have them
work from this collection of information.
-
Use a CD-ROM to gain access to, retrieve and store background
material - either general material such as can be found on typical
encyclopędias, or more focussed resources in CD subject-specific
collections.
- Use
the World Wide Web to find and structure resources.
- Combine
all three of the above, and have pupils themselves find the
information and put it into a word processed form.
See
the next page for my view of how these options could be considered.
