Getting
Help
If
you are unsure how a particular CD-ROM works, please refer to
its Help menu. Usually, this is accessed by clicking on the word
Help in the menu bar at the top of the encyclopaedia's window
- in some encyclopaedias, this will be represented by a question
mark symbol.
- Click
on Help on the menu bar or symbol for Help.
- The
Help window will open, probably containing three options - Contents,
Index and Find.
- Contents
provides you with an overview of how to use the CD-ROM.
- Index
gives general subject headings on issues relating to using the
CD-ROM effectively.
- Find
allows you to type in a particular search word, and then takes
you to the specific item - eg. Copying Text.
