The
Relationship of Files and Folders to the Desktop
- Launch
Microsoft Word.
- Once
open, type your name on the new document.
- Click
on the File menu and select Save As... from the drop-down menu.
- In
the Save In box, type Desktop or select the little arrow on
the right-hand side of the Save In box and choose Desktop from
the drop-down menu that appears.
- In
the File Name box type the word Example.
- Click
on Save.
Now minimise Word by clicking on the Minimise button on the top
right-hand corner of your screen. You should now see the new file
you saved visible on the Desktop as Example.doc.
