Using
Reports with Statistical Analysis
Printing
a table or a query will give raw data, but very often there is
a need for a report facility in which you can create a report
format with report heading/footer and page headings/footers that
you can select.
- Click
on the Report tab and select 'Report 1'.
- Click
on the Preview button to see a preview of the report. The ID,
Address Line 1, Area code and Price fields in the Property table
are displayed.
- Notice
the use of a report heading/footer and page heading/footer area.
The detail area is repeated for each data record.
- Note
also the record count, sum of house prices and the average house
price value listed at the end of the report.
- Select
Print from the File menu, confirm the correct printer and print
the report.
Each
component of the report is called a control and each has properties,
which can be viewed by selecting it, and choosing Properties from
the View menu, for a detailed list of the control's source, formatting
and position.
