Personal
Distribution List
A
personal distribution list allows you to set up a list of personnel
for sending information to. Then, when sending your e-mail, rather
than having to find each person's name, you can simply click onto
the distribution list.
- From
the Compose menu, select New Message.
- Click
on the To: button at the left-hand side of the screen.
- At
the top right-hand side of the screen is a box with Global Address
List included in it.
- Click
on the small down-facing arrow at the right-hand side of the
box.
- Move
down to Personal Address Book - this should be the last option
on the list.
- Click
the New button.
- From
the list that appears, double-click Personal Distribution List.
- A
dialog box marked with New Distribution List properties at the
top appears (illustrated below).
- Type
in the name you wish to call the list, eg. Course Team.
- Click
the button marked Add/Remove Members at the bottom left- hand
side of the screen.
- Select
the names you want added to the list by double clicking on the
relevant names in the list that appear.
- Once
all the names have been entered, click on OK at the bottom of
the screen.
You
have now set up the list. The screen display will change back
to the standard new message screen, with the name of the Personal
Distribution List in the To box.
You
can create any number of Personal Distribution Lists, and it is
a far faster method than typing in each person's details individually.
