Configuration Options
Microsoft
Exchange can be set up in a number of ways to assist you with
Send, Read, and Audible Warning options.
Click
on the Tools menu and select Options. The Options dialog box appears
with a series of tabs at the top (illustrated below).
Sound Options
- Click
on the General tab.
- In
the When New Mail Arrives box click on Play a Sound. A tick
will appear.
- Click
on Apply at the bottom of the window, then OK.
Send Options
- Click
on the Send tab.
- Click
on "the item has been read" and "the item has been delivered."
- When
you receive your e-mail, you will get a message telling you
if the email has been delivered, and a second message saying
it has been read (if it has).
Setting
up Message Importance
- Click
on the Send tab.
- Click
the priority you want for the e-mail by selecting the radio
(circular) button.
- High
importance displays the message on the other person's machine
with a red exclamation mark, and low with a downward-facing
arrow.
Setting
up Toolbars
- Click
the View menu and select Toolbars. The toolbar should appear
at the top of the screen.
- Click
on the Tools menu, then Customise Toolbars. In the window that
appears, select whichever buttons you want to appear by first
clicking on them, then clicking Add.
- The
toolbar will now display your new choices.
