Using ICT to Support Numeracy Across the Curriculum

This is a one day course will provide participants with opportunities to consider the application of finding and analysing information across the curriculum.

Participants will use the TextEase database and spreadsheet functions to develop suitable classroom-based activities. They will also look at the effective use of the tools and software available with an interactive whiteboard.

Course Objectives:

• To identify areas where ICT can enhance the teaching of numeracy skills
• To develop the use of spreadsheets and data handling in mathematical problem solving
• To develop the use of interactive whiteboards to enhance training and learning
