Teacher applies tasks in the classroom

Teachers can apply their learning in the classroom at any time during the programme, but will be encouraged to do this as soon after the completion of the task as is practical.

Teachers will be required to undertake self-evaluation of the application and forward this to their tutor in writing. Normally, this communication will take place using e-mail.

Tutors will make visits to schools to observe at least two applications for each teacher during the course of the programme, by negotiation with the teacher. Where appropriate the tutor will play a support role for individual teachers during the application of the task. It will also be expected that schools and departments will wish to play a support role in such cases.

Outcome:
  • Task applied in the classroom
  • Teachers produce written self-evaluation in common formats
  • Tutors visit some events
  • Support provided to some events
