This
task will enable you to use a word processor to support the Early
Years Desirable Outcomes, and in particular:
- Language,
Literacy and Communicating Skills and Personal and Social Development,
or
- Knowledge
and Understanding of the World and Personal and Social Development,
or
- Physical
Development and Personal and Social Development.
It
will make teachers aware of how a suitable word processor can
be applied effectively to enhance pupil learning across the Early
Years curriculum.
This
task entails using a word processor, perhaps with a concept keyboard.
An additional program such as 'Clicker Plus' can be used to create
on-screen grids.
Task:
Decide
on the focus for the activity and the desired learning outcomes.
Using
the word processor of your choice, demonstrate to pupils how to:
- use
the keys to enter letters
- use
the Shift key to create capital letters
- move
pictures to match with text
- use
the Space bar
