Consider the following:

• would the activity have been more profitable to pupils had the tasks been carried out in a more traditional way?
• did the adventure or simulation support classroom activities?
• was the adventure or simulation appropriate for Early Years pupils?
• did pupils understand the main purpose and objectives of the adventure or simulation?
• were pupils able to use the software effectively?
• are pupils acquiring expected and necessary skills in both the Early Years Outcomes and ICT?
• is there continuity and progression?
• how suitable were the pupil groupings?
• is there need for reinforcement or consolidation?
• what changes would you make the next time you use an adventure or simulation?
• did the questioning of pupils help assessment?
• did the questioning of pupils make the pupils more focused?
• has knowledge been enhanced by using ICT?
• have new skills been acquired through using an adventure or simulation?
• were teaching and learning objectives met?
• how will this inform your future planning?
