Prior
to Commencing the Task...
Consider
the following:
- where
in the overall plan for the school year would the use of word
processing/DTP be most appropriate?
- which
subject areas will be supported?
- what
are the desired teaching and learning outcomes? (Key Skills)
-
is using the computer going to promote ease of use and enhance
the subject?
- are
there alternative methods other than a computer, which could
be employed?
- does
using the computer complement the use of cross-curricular work
currently being undertaken?
- what
resources/materials will be needed?
- how
will groups be organised to use the computer effectively?
- are
tasks differentiated?
- are
tasks challenging?
- does
the task build on the previous knowledge of the pupils?
- what
questions will be asked of pupils during and after the tasks?
- when
will assessment take place? (During the task or through questioning
after the task?)
- how
will assessment be used to inform future planning?
