Cost
of Training
In
order to provide flexibility and to facilitate individuation of
training plans, it is envisaged that teachers will fall into three
bands as far as their current ICT skills and their current readiness
to apply ICT in the classroom are concerned. Following from the
Training Needs Analysis, a personal action plan will be drawn
up to determine the skills needed. Teachers will then be identified
as belonging in one of three levels:
- Level
1
- Beginner
to ICT
- Not
currently using or familiar with ICT, or with a distant
history of ICT experience
- Cost
of training: £600
- 6
Modules of learning to arrive at all 18 outcomes
- Level
2
- Basic
IT skills
- Knowledge
of use of ICT, recent experience with technology, but not
familiar or not confident with its application in the classroom
- Cost
of training: £450
- 4
modules of learning to arrive at the outstanding 10-14 outcomes
- Level
3
- Using
ICT
- Knowledge
of a range of ICT applications, and some experience of its
use in the classroom
- Cost
of training: £280
- 1-3
modules of learning to arrive at the outstanding 6-9 outcomes
