Liason with Schools

The partnership will negotiate contracts with individual schools and help them to determine appropriate provision for their own needs.

Representative Headteachers from participating authorities will participate in the steering group.

The programme will be piloted in a small number of schools prior to the commencement date in May 1999 so that schools can make recommendations for improvement and refinement.

Headteachers in all participating schools will be required to complete monitoring documentation at key points in their schools' experience of the programme.

Findings from the reports of Local Authorities will be passed through the management team for action and to the steering group to form a feature of the biannual report.
