of Control Tasks
The
tasks below will enable you to make a judgement about the activity
level you wish to support with your training.
Intermediate
Task:
Decide
on the focus for the activity and the desired learning outcomes.
Collect
and test all equipment needed, such as the control box, bulbs,
buzzers or models.
Become
familiar with the software and equipment.
Demonstrate
the software, control box and peripheral equipment to pupils.
Prepare
differentiated, focused tasks for pupils.
Provide
opportunities for pupils to:
- use
the software to activate lights, buzzers or motors
- create
procedures using a series of direct output and repeat commands
- save,
retrieve and edit procedures
Learning
Outcomes for the Teacher
Using
the program, control box and peripherals, know how to:
- connect
and use the equipment
- use
direct output commands to activate devices such as bulbs, buzzers
or motors
- create
procedures through using a series of output commands
- use
a series of repeat commands
