When the Task has been Completed...

Consider the following:

  • would the activity have been more profitable to pupils had the task been carried out in a more traditional way?
  • were the teaching and learning objectives met?
  • did using the computer enhance the learning opportunities of the pupils?
  • did the database support the topic?
  • was the database set up adequately?
  • was suitable data converted into graphs/charts?
  • did the use of ICT support the subject area?
  • was the task appropriate and sufficiently challenging?
  • did the children enjoy the activities and stay on task?
  • did pupils use the AND, OR, NOT operators effectively?
  • are pupils acquiring expected and necessary skills in both the subject supported and ICT?
  • was there continuity and progression?
  • were the pupil groups suitable?
  • would you change anything the next time you use a database in class?
  • did the questioning of pupils on task help you and focus the pupils?
  • has your use of databases been influenced by the use of ICT?
  • were teaching and learning objectives met?
  • how will this inform your future planning?
