Training
Completed
Statistics on training completed against training started, on
duration of commitment and attainment against duration, and on
recruitment against planning will form a key features in the partnership's
measurement of its success.
Impact
of Training
Tutors will make visits to schools in the application phase of
the modules to observe the quality of delivery and make an assessment
of the impact on pupils' learning of the employment of ICT.
Quality
of Training
Teacher evaluations are an essential feature of the programme
and these will be monitored by the tutor and form part of the
feedback process. A sample of teacher evaluations will be selected
by Local Authorities and provided for comment and these will be
passed to phase managers for review and recommendation.
Teachers
will be asked to complete forms at the end of each module to comment
on quality of teaching, tutoring, support, materials and overall
delivery style.
Designated
lead personnel will monitor the performance of trainers, tutors
and support staff throughout the programme. Local Authorities
will be invited to contribute to this process.
Where
there is cause for concern with regard to individual performance,
this will be passed to appropriate managers for action. The partnership
intends to ensure that all participants receive equal value from
the programme through consistent quality standards.
Administration
and Management of Training
Designated members of the steering group will take responsibility
for monitoring arrangements for management and administration
of the programme. Participating Local Authorities will be asked
to report on the robustness and transparency of the management
and administrative processes.
